About the Area

Berkeley Springs is America's first spa town — a laid-back mountain community in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle known for warm mineral springs, local art galleries, craft breweries, and an easygoing pace. Just 90 minutes from D.C. and Baltimore, it's where people come to slow down, soak, and explore. Through August, downtown comes alive with free Saturday-evening concerts at Berkeley Springs State Park and a Sunday farmers market (10 am–2 pm); September brings the Fall Birding Festival to Cacapon State Park.

Neighborhood

Bobcat Trail sits within the Coolfont Mountainside community, a quiet residential enclave surrounded by forest on all sides. The neighborhood is peaceful — mostly seasonal homeowners and nature lovers. Wildlife is common — deer, turkey, songbirds, and yes, the occasional bobcat. You can step off the porch and onto hiking trails that wind through the mountains. The community is minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs, Cacapon State Park, and the Cacapon River, but it feels like you're deep in the woods. The only noise at night is the fire crackling and the stars doing their thing.
